Overview

Barrington Walker will tell you he has everything he could possibly want. Dapper and full of charm, he's a husband, father, grandfather, and a man of standing in his Hackney community. But Barry is also carrying a truth he has never managed to share...for the last 60 years he's been in a secret relationship with his best friend Morris. A story of love, family, and what it means to finally choose yourself, Mr Loverman spans six decades of life from Antigua to modern-day London. Danny Sapani is Barrington and Gary Beadle is Morris in Natasha Gordon's funny and tender adaptation of Bernardine Evaristo's acclaimed novel, directed by Paulette Randall MBE. This stage play was performed live at the Lyttelton Theatre, National Theatre in London, UK.
